Thirty-Six Stratagems

August 10th, 2009

The Thirty-Six Stratagems (traditional Chinese: 三十六計; simplified Chinese: 三十六计; pinyin: Sānshíliù Jì) was a Chinese essay used to illustrate a series of stratagems used in politics, war, as well as in civil interaction, often through unorthodox or deceptive means. By 2030 as many as 660 million people could be affected, with economic losses rising to $340 billion a year. There are currently 15 wars taking place and the report predicts that 3 billion people will have no access to water by 2025.

So while continuing to post fresh political content, we want to start featuring as much cultural content as we can find – particularly as seen through the eyes of young Iranian bloggers. The more Americans get to know Iran’s rapidly-ascending millennials, the greater chance there is for melting stereotypes and finding commonalities, however incremental.

Well, not quite 100% there yet but I’m trying to control this playlist using Python on my Mac – will publish results in near future.
